Hear What Other Families Are Saying

Our Son has been a part of the TheraCare family for 2 years. Diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder at 18 months old, we had little hope that he would be able to get the proper help he needed at such a young age. Then we found TheraCare! Over the past two years we have watched our Son flourish through the special instruction, occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech he has been receiving through TheraCare. The dedication, patience and caring nature of each of his therapist have been such a blessing to our Son’s life and development. When we look back to when we first started with TheraCare, we remember how scared we did not know what our sons future would hold. Today he is 3-1/2 years old and a smart, happy, strong and courageous little boy. He loves his TheraCare family! We can’t imagine where we would be without this wonderful place and all the wonderful therapists who have been with us during this important time in our Son’s life. Thank you TheraCare for all you have done!!!

Our coordinator, Isabella, Ellie’s OT, Hoa, and Stephanie, Ellie’s play therapist, worked together to provide Ellie with exceptional services that truly made a difference in our daily lives!!!! Thank you so very much!!!

Throughout his years of therapy with TheraCare our son showed tremendous improvement gaining skills in social awareness, classroom integration, and academics. He is now 6 years old and falls under the oversight of the Committee on Special Education (CSE). He has lost the diagnosis of pervasive developmental delay and is no longer considered to be on the autism spectrum.
He no longer requires a SEIT, physical therapy, or occupational therapy. He functions independently in the classroom and engages in all school activities in a regular education classroom. He reads and writes at an age appropriate level. Afterschool favorites include riding his bicycle (without training wheels) and going to gymnastics lessons. Through the help of TheraCare with their wide range of services, our son is well on his way to living a full independent life. Thank you so much TheraCare!!!!!

My son is now speaking better and has learned to get along with others. I was very impressed with the professionalism and skill of his clinician.
Before TheraCare I was so worried that my son would not be able to lead a normal life. But now I’m confident that he has the skills to be a functioning member of society.
I’m glad we found TheraCare!!!

The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is a public program funded by New York State and county governments for children under the age of three who are either suspected of having or at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. Potentially eligible children must be referred to the county program to receive EIP services: New York City - 311 Westchester County - 914-813-5094 All EIP services are provided at no cost to parents. Health Insurance may be used for approved services. A child’s eligibility for the program can be determined only by state-approved evaluators under contract and all services must be authorized by the county. If a child is found eligible for the EIP, all needed early intervention services are identified in collaboration with the parent and must be authorized by the municipality. The municipality will arrange for service providers, considering the individual needs of the child and family, to deliver services authorized by the municipality. When early intervention services are delivered in child care settings or community locations that require a fee, the parent is responsible for paying any associated costs with such access to child care or community locations. TheraCare is approved by New York State and has a contract with New York City, Westchester, Nassau and Suffolk Counties to provide early intervention services.
